Paneer Chilli

Paneer Chilli is very popular dish in Indian Chinese cuisine. It is prepared with ingredients which are easily available at home such as onion, capsicum, paneer, maida, corn flour, sauces. You can prepare this dish for weekend parties with your family or friends.

Preparation Time –  20 mins

Cook Time – 15 mins

Total Time – 35 mins

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams Paneer
  • 2 finely chopped Onion
  • 2 finely chopped Capsicums
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped Ginger
  • 2-3 green chillies slit and deseeded
  • 2 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper powder
  • ½ small bowl Corn flour + 2 teaspoon Maida (all purpose flour) batter
  • 1 teaspoon Gram flour (Optional)
  • ½ teaspoon Vinger
  • 1 teaspoon Soya sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli Sauce
  • 4-5 teaspoon oil or ghee
  • Water
  • Salt to taste

Serves:  6 persons

Directions / Procedure:

A. Process for making Panner Chilli batter

  1. Take cornflour and maida batter in a mixing bowl, add red chill, pepper powder, red chilli sauce and salt taste.
  2. Add water if required and mix all ingredients very well to get smooth and very thick batter.
  3. Add rectangular paneer cubes in the batter and coat the paneer cube with the batter.

B. Process for frying the Coated Paneer cubes

  1. Now heat the oil in kadai or pan on low flame gas and add coated paneer cube in it.
  2. Fry the paneer cube slightly from all sides and keep aside.

C. Process to prepare the Paneer Chilli

  1. Heat the oil in kadai or pan on low flame gas, add chopped ginger and garlic. Fry them for about one minutes on low flame.
  2. Add chopped onion and stir it well. Fry the onion for about 2-3 minutes on medium flame.
  3. Then add chopped capsicum in it. Fry the capsicum for about 2 minutes on medium flame.
  4. Cook the capsicum and onion for about 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  5. Add Soya sauce, vinegar and red chilli powder. Mix it well and saute the mixture for about 2 minutes on low flame.
  6. Now add fried paneer cube in it. Mix it well and saute the mixture for about 1-2 minutes on low flame.
  7. Here is your hot Paneer chilli is ready

Tips / suggestions:

  • Add ginger garlic paste as per your choice
  • Add sauces as per your choice
