Cupcake workshop at Adipoli

We all love cupcakes, don’t we? Cupcakes and cakes are nearly same, the only difference is that cupcakes are baked in tins with several cups in it. The idea behind making tiny cakes was elaborated in ‘American Cookery’, a 1796 cookbook by Amelia Simmons.

Recently I along with my daughter, Ananya attended a cupcakes making workshop organised by Adipoli, a well known restaurant located near Vasant Valley in Kalyan. We had a brief introduction session before starting the workshop. Ms. Vijaya Nair, the chef taught us some basic things about cupcakes, how to make different types of frosting and how to decorate the cupcakes with the frosting. We made some vanilla and chocolate cupcakes.

I and my daughter, decorated few of vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with the frosting. After the workshop they served us snacks and drinks. Garlic Cheese Chilli Bread served as a snack was delicious one. We captured some pics of the cupcakes and took our cupcakes home.

It was a well organised workshop. I learned something new and enjoyed the workshop with my daughter.

I would like to thank Adipoli and Chef Vijaya for this wonderful experience.

Here are some pics captured during the workshop.
