Mango Sheera

Have you ever tried adding Mango to your regular sweet dishes? If it sounds interesting, then try this delicious  Mango Sheera recipe. I have added Mango with cashews and tutty fruity in the regular sheera dish. It turned out to be
yummy one. My kids really liked this dish.

Preparation Time – 10 mins

Cook Time – 20 mins

Total Time – 30 mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 bowl Sooji Rava / Semolina
  • 1 small bowl Ghee
  • 1 bowl Sugar
  • 1 bowl Milk
  • 1 bowl Mango puree / pulp
  • 1 bowl hot water
  • ½ small bowl Cashews
  • ½ small bowl Tutty Fruity (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon Cardamom powder (optional)

Serves:  5 persons

Directions / Procedure :

  1. First wash two Mangoes and peal the skin. Remove the seed and take the pulp. In a blender, blend the pulp and make smooth paste and keep aside.
  2. Heat the ghee in kadai or pan on low flame gas & add rava in it. Stir the rava continuously on flame.
  3. Roast the rava on low flame till you get lovely roasted aroma of Rava.
  4. Add hot water in the roasted rava and stir it well. Cover with lid and cook for about 2 minutes on low flame.
  5. Now add sugar and cashews in it, mix it well, cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Then add milk and mango pulp, again stir it well. Here continuously stirring of the mixture is required.
  7. Add tutty fruity and cover with lid, cook for about 2 minutes on low flame gas.
  8. Garnish with tutty fruity, cashews and mango pulp.
  9. Here your Mango Sheera is ready to serve hot / cold

Tips & suggestions

  • Use jaggery instead of sugar if you like
  • Adding dry fruits like almond, Raisin, charoli is optional
  • Add saffron one pinch – optional
  • Add cardamom powder is optional
